Last November the UMiami MUN Team competed at UPMUNC 2018 and took home a number of individual awards!

The University of Miami Model United Nations team is a team like no other. The team was founded in 2002 as a way for UM students to practice research, debate and public speaking skills while learning about world issues, and in the years since we have stayed true to that aim. But we don't just stop there. Always having insane amounts of fun, our team has grown beyond just a competitive Model UN team to a close-knit family sharing common interests.

Since then, we've recently won top honors at conferences hosted by the University of Chicago, Harvard University, Georgetown University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania and others. At the end of the 2018-19 season, the team held the honor of being the #25 Model United Nations team in the entire World Division!
Our team continues to grow with over 30 members who have majors ranging from political science to neuroscience, from engineering to finance. Like many MUN teams, we are recognized on campus as having a strong work ethic and being a premier leadership organization.

Every year, our team looks forward to hosting this conference for high school students. In this, our eighth session of MICSUN, we look to creating an unforgettable experience full of debate and diplomacy, and have fun along the way!
